# Writing a Wrong

There is no shortage of things that require redress. Looking around, one can see injustice and hardship. Writing is not the solution. However, writing a wrong can be an important step in the process. Through the process of writing a wrong, one can understand better the situation, potential solutions, and one’s thinking on the issue, and maybe even inspire others to focus attention on the concern. Writing can galvanize support and inspire action, whether in a manifesto or a slogan. It is easy for fatigue to set in, to start to feel that any effort is pointless. Nihilism makes sense. The nihilistic perspective might turn out to be the correct one. There is no fulfillment to be found in the void. Engagement provides meaning. Improvements take time and effort. Things get better where humans direct sustained effort. Things get better when humans write a wrong.
