# Types of Managers - The Revealer

The revealer no longer cares about organizational success. Sure, the revealer is still a manager, and still receives a paycheck, but there is relatively little focus on the organization, its mission, or its projects. The revealer does take an active interest in employees and their development. The focus of this development is predominately on organizational secrets. The revealer lets subordinates see behind the curtain as to how organizational decisions are made, what is said about employees behind closed doors, and the underlying dynamics at play for decisions related to promotion and discipline. The revealer is an organizational danger. If upper echelons become aware of what the revealer is saying there is often an attempt to stop it. Workers tend to benefit from the insights of the revealer. Seldom do they like what they learn.
