# The Truth of Continuing

What is one's philosophy of life? If philosophy is the love of wisdom and finding what is true internally and externally, is the question really, what is the truth of one's life? I suspect most people cannot coherently answer this question, as life is not coherent. Furthermore, the truth of yesterday isn't the truth of today. Standards and shortcuts exist to reduce tedium and energy expenditure, but one is lying to oneself if the truth of one's life doesn't change over time. Additionally, further consider one's ideas about past truths are marred by one's present truths. So, what is the truth if it changes based on how and when one looks for it? What is one's philosophy of life? This is a question not worth asking or answering. It reveals nothing other than a means to ramble and sound wise. Here is a better question: why does one continue? This is the bedrock from which to build something worthy of consideration, development, and progress. If one does not know why one continues, all the more reason to ask this question. Continuing is much more interesting than merely existing in one's subjective meaning of truth. Some may say that continuing is the only truth of one's life.
