# The Rejection of Information By:: [[Brian Heath]] 2024-09-28 The amount of information out there is overwhelming and a complete mess. For those who like things tidy and organized, the world of information represents everything wrong today. The internet, smartphones, and cheap storage reduced the cost of information to virtually zero. Thus, the amount of information exploded. There is no controlling it. We've opened Pandora's box, and traditional means of control and decision-making are no longer useful. Governments and those in power used to control information to maintain power and influence. This is no longer a reliable option, so those who still use this strategy are losing power and increasingly looking like walking fossils. Every position can be refuted, and every argument can be disproven by the lowest individuals in the hierarchy, which drives the elites who are in control insane and empowers the counter-elites to gain significant influence. There is no going back without a near-extinction event of our species and technologies. We will have exponentially more choices without a solid foundation of truth. Few will acknowledge this as they will live in the old paradigms that no longer exist or be proven ever to exist. Ancient wisdom has long addressed these issues. Modern philosophy dissects it further. Just because information is abundant does not mean it is useful or valuable. Seek knowledge and wisdom. Reject information as nothing more than noise with occasional signals. This is the present future. This is not science fiction but reality. Just try to prove me wrong. #### Related Items [[Information]] [[Wisdom]] [[Knowledge]] [[Future]] [[Science]] [[Power]] [[Control]] [[The Age of Choice]]
