# The Preamble to an Anti-Management Manifesto By:: [[Ross Jackson]] 2022-11-23 Management produces little organizationally which warrants deference on the part of workers. Despite an absence of tangible output, obsequiousness towards management is structural and expected. Management, as the organizational adjunct of executives, is valorized beyond the value of its accomplishments. What does management do independently? Management appropriates. Management aggregates. Management coordinates. Management obfuscates. At its core, management serves only an administrative function – a mere transfer point of information. Workers are subjugated to organizational power, administered through management as an ideology. Workers _produce_; management is parasitic. Organizational attention is focused on how to automate production, yet management is the easier and more efficient aspect to mechanize. There is a need for a critique of management resulting in a new labor movement. An anti-management manifesto detailing the legitimacy of autonomous technical-professional work in organizations. The solidarity of the subjugated will not be obfuscated by management as an ideology indefinitely.
