# The Art of Solo Travel By:: [[Ross Jackson]] 2025-02-08 People engaged in business often find themselves traveling alone. Even if they are with a group, some of the time will be spent on one’s own. There is an art to solo traveling. The most straightforward is eating at the hotel restaurant and watching TV in one’s room when not working. This isn’t necessarily the most fulfilling way to approach solo travel, but for those who enjoy their day-to-day experiences, this is likely the most comforting way to approach travel. A more adventurous approach is determining what one enjoys and seeing what the locale offers. This could be visiting museums, taking in performances, going to exotic restaurants, or visiting local coffeehouses. The key isn’t what one does or where one goes but how one approaches one’s interactions with the new environment. One can either try to isolate oneself from it and make one’s time as much like one’s everyday life as possible, or one can try to see what the place is like. It can be challenging to muster the energy for adventure when traveling alone or with a group with which one would rather not socialize. The art of solo travel is to find the spirit of adventure in one’s heart that overcomes the banality of the business trip. #### Related Items [[Travel]] [[Experience]] [[Business]] [[Enjoyment]] [[Isolation]] [[Life]]
