# The A-Team By:: [[Ross Jackson]] 2023-05-19 In the 1980s there was a TV program called the A-Team. In that show, the “A-Team” was comprised of soldiers of fortune who were engaged in paramilitary operations. The leader of the A-Team had the catchphrase, “I love it when a plan comes together.” Organizations are somewhat like the A-Team as they love it when a plan comes together. However, often plans do not come together. Or the plan takes so long to come together that nobody in the organization is sure what the plan was or if they are still pursuing it. When an organizational plan comes together it is an event worthy of celebration. But so too are the many ways individuals and organizations muddle through day-to-day activity attempting to contribute to the successful achievement of something worthy of the effort. Work can figure prominently in our collective search for meaning. This provides an opportunity for solidarity. Authentic solidarity emerges when we realize that personal growth and fulfillment aren’t a competition. Making things better for all, is a plan worthy of love and coming together. Just ask the A-Team. #### Related Items [[Planning]] [[Organization]] [[Authenticity]] [[Solidarity]] [[Achievement]]
