Whether geopolitically, organizationally, or interpersonally, engagement perpetuates its maintenance unless one actively works against it. Observationally, it seems people eschew the notion of shared responsibility associated with sustaining unjust systems through their passive participation. Most look to pin responsibility on the leaders. The fact that leaders are culpable does not absolve the masses. Ignoring injustice allows it to continue.
