# Organizational Stillness By:: [[Ross Jackson]] 2023-04-07 Business has more than its fair share of drama and ego. Meetings tend to be dominated by those who are most aggressive and talkative. Such behavior tends to enhance the competitive and performative nature of work. There is only so much limelight, and some want to ensure they have it; all of it, if they can. What is often underappreciated is the role of organizational stillness. Those who observe attentively and quietly often have better insight. Perhaps they will share it at an opportune time. Maybe they won’t. Bluster and chaos get the attention. Informed stillness is easy to overlook. This dynamic creates an organizational paradox. Listen to those who don’t speak; ignore those who do. #### Related Items [[Business]] [[Work]] [[Meetings]] [[Paradox]] [[Thinking]] [[Insights]]
