# Life Never Fails to Provide

Distance in terms of time and space can make any description of a situation seem exaggerated. When it does, life never fails to provide one with a glaring example that transcends distance and can hardly be ignored. The situation at Twitter provides one with a striking example of the excesses of capitalism. Twitter was designed to be a way for groups to communicate. There was a time when it was both novel and effective. Enticed by what it _was_, a billionaire decided to acquire it. Soon after the acquisition, the billionaire decided to fire members of the workforce and set the expectation that each member works the equivalent of two shifts. If ever there was an illustration bordering on caricature, it’s Twitter. Those who have worked and built Twitter should have a say in how it is run. Simply having enough money to buy one’s way in and “own it,” is hardly sufficient grounds to dictate the established work of others. It is long past time for Americans to admit that they have been duped by the fearmongering [[rhetoric]] of antilabor capitalists. It is time for those in technical fields to organize against the oligarchs. Analysts of the world unite!
