Whereas each bad boss is unique in terms of one’s characteristics, there are some common attributes that bad bosses share. Bad bosses tend to be arrogant, narcissistic, thin-skinned, condescending, manipulative, belligerent, vague, shallow bullies who take credit for everything positive and who fail to acknowledge or take responsibility for anything negative. Seldom does one get to pick one’s boss. Often, it is hard to know before the fact that a given boss will be a bad one. Only a fool would choose a known bad boss.
