# Hello and Welcome By:: [[Ross Jackson]] 2024-09-03 Starting a new job can bring a mix of emotions for both the individual and those within the organization. On both sides, there is a degree of uncertainty. The organization is looking to find out if the new hire will bring sufficient value in a generally pleasing way. For the individual, one wants to gain a sense of accomplishment without too much intrusion or hassle. Each is looking for something from the other. Neither knows exactly how it will unfold. Most of the time, each side will settle into an accepted routine. With time, knowledge replaces uncertainty. Work is executed in a space somewhere between respect and indifference. Hello and welcome; let’s hope for the best.
