Part of success is looking for growth opportunities. These opportunities could be within the market space or oneself. Success often requires growth. Growth can be awkward if one only learns a single lesson from adolescence. New things take work. One will likely lack precision and dexterity as one begins. Through persistence, one acquires competence and, eventually, growth. In physiological growth, it happens automatically. One must prospect for areas when it comes to the market or developing new skills. This is much like prospecting for gold in a mountain stream. One must select a stream likely to contain gold, find an advantageous spot, and get to work sifting. Each of these steps requires strategic thinking and a degree of chance. People don’t like to admit that degree that chance plays a part in success. It doesn’t always play a role, but it often does. The role of chance does not discount the hard work and preparation necessary to use good fortune. Usually, success requires preparation and chance. Growth isn’t easy. Success isn’t easy. Growing into success is highly rewarding. In interviews of highly successful people, one seldom hears about money. Making more money, maybe a lot, follows from the successful pursuit of growth. A growth mindset provides the basis for enthusiastic engagement in life and work. With a bit of luck, success will follow.
