# Encouraging Engagement

Saying less can encourage engagement. Presenting too much information can be overwhelming and boring, and people tend to disengage in those situations. This is one reason that professional presentations tend to be so painful to endure. A “trick” is to say less. The less one says the more mystery remains. People like to figure things out. The more questions the audience must ask, the more engaged they will be in the presentation. Engagement is the key. Say less.
