# Charting the Decline of Analytics By:: [[Brian Heath]] 2024-06-08 For many, the study of analytics as a methodology to explore and think about the world eventually ceases to be interesting to discuss or study. Inevitably, one shifts from its discussion to its application and implications. While there will always be ways to improve how one applies analytics and develop new techniques, one reaches a saturation point where patterns are easy to recognize and analysis becomes second nature. Once someone has learned a trade, they don't need to continue learning as much as they need to continue practicing it as a form of art and creative expression of the self. The chart below shows a distinct shift in how we explicitly discuss analytics within our posts. As we've expressed our thoughts on analytics, we've shifted our focus to its application and practice as a means of understanding the world. It is now what we do and partly who we are, but it's no longer something we need to discuss explicitly. At this time, "how-to analytics" has primarily reached its ending point, and just as with our book, we are drawn to a conclusion beyond the method. Instead, its application seeps into how we view the world, and one looks for outlets to express and create beyond the mechanics. This expression is an ancient truth often overlooked in today's world. ![[The Decline of Analytics Mentions Over Time.png]] #### Related Items [[Analytics]] [[Focus]] [[Self-Actualization]] [[Pragmatic]] [[Methodology]] [[Growth]]
