# Change and Apathy

What situation is easier to deal with when it comes to change: an apathetic, unorganized group or a group stuck in their ways? Many might think the latter as this group will fight back. However, the apathetic, unorganized group is often the hardest to deal with because they do not care and have no foundation to stand upon. Changing this group is like trying to build a house on quicksand. Whenever progress appears to be made, it just sinks into nothingness. There is nothing to hold on to and nothing to argue against. At least with the resistant group, one can discuss the change and decide whether it is worth the effort. With the apathetic, unorganized group, one might believe they are moving forward only to discover no bottom in the pit of despair. When encountering an organization that does not care and has no structure, the tactic one should consider is helping the group find meaning and purpose. This could take a lifetime to uncover, so choose wisely.
