# Box Sets By:: [[Ross Jackson]] 2023-06-04 When I was in high school, the Led Zeppelin box set was released. My mom was generous enough to take me to the mall and buy it for me for absolutely no reason other than I really wanted it. The trip and the gift were, for me, very special. The box set was a four-disc set with a full-color book. I can remember listening to the CDs, reading the liner notes, and looking at the pictures. The songs spanned their entire career. Depending on my mood, different discs were preferred over others. I recently went to a bookstore and discovered a Nietzsche box set. I was generous enough to buy it for myself for no reason other than I really wanted it. It was a five-book set. I am currently reading the second of five books. It’s too early to tell what, if any, preference I will have on the books. These two examples are not the only box sets I have owned, but they very well could be my first and my most recent. This made me think about compiling box sets. Often, a box set is comprehensive without being complete. It provides insight into the expanse of one’s work. Sometimes it is only the most popular works, but often there are hidden gems that were overlooked when initially released. After one has worked for an extended period, there is a sizable amount of material produced. What would you include in the box set of your work? #### Related Items [[Work]] [[Collection]] [[Career]] [[Curation]] [[Popular]] [[Obscure]]
