# Being Somewhere Different

Vacations can be fun. Even a simple trip somewhere else can be an adventure. Being somewhere different is an opportunity. Context shapes and constrains our thinking. Being in the same place allows for the formation of habits and routines. These influence our thinking. Going to the office, going to the same coffeehouse, and doing the same things can make thinking differently a challenge. Simply going somewhere different can transform one’s thoughts. It’s been said that the difference between a groove and a rut is the number of repetitions. When one is in the groove things are great. With repetition, this can become a Sisyphean rut. At this point, go somewhere else. It doesn’t much matter where one goes. Just someplace different. Do new things, eat different food, see different scenery, and think. Have a great trip!
