# After the Analysis By:: [[Ross Jackson]] 2023-04-13 Analysts tend to focus on conducting analysis, and perhaps on presenting the analysis to close out the project. After the analysis, analysts tend to move on to the next project. Consequently, there is very little analytic attention given to what occurs after the analysis. This is unfortunate, as there is a great deal of value in understanding what occurs after the analysis. Paradoxically, after the analysis should be examined analytically. Organizations tend to be good at generating projects and receiving presentations. This suggests that organizations are relatively good at consuming analytic projects. Organizations tend to be bad at significant existential and operational change. This suggests that organizations are relatively bad at making effective use of analytic projects. If an analytic project is conducted but no discernable organizational results are achieved, did it make a difference? Understanding what happens after the analysis is essential for improving the efficacy of organizational analysis. Adding more rigor does not improve analysis which is ignored. It simply reduces the number of people who can understand it. #### Related Items [[Analytics]] [[Organizational Analytics]] [[Change]] [[Understanding]]
