# A New Game By:: [[Ross Jackson]] 2023-06-16 I was thinking of creating a new game. If you recall “Choose Your Own Adventure” books, you will have a primary starting point for understanding the game. As a basic description, a player will select the context for the game. It could be society, politics, military, business, or family. However, whatever a player picks to focus on, all the other elements persist and interact similarly. In this way, one feels like they are choosing an area on which to focus, but in playing the game, they must contend with all of them nearly all the time. Due to advances in computer graphics and power, the game will be as much like life as it can be. It will seem like nothing is happening for long periods in the game. And yet, in the game, one will experience an endless series of decision points. The trick behind the game is that there are only bad outcomes. All the errors will compound to make things even more fun for the player. Additionally, the longer one plays, every aspect of the game becomes more difficult. Decisions will take longer to make; the response time will be extended, the graphics will become fuzzier, and much of the game will be flashbacks in which the player can’t make any input to the game but is subjected to watching some of the worst plays made in the game. The kicker is that the game will automatically shut off randomly for each player. Think this game will catch on? Get your tokens ready; you are already playing it. #### Related Items [[Games]] [[Life]] [[Society]] [[Business]] [[The Human Condition]]
